I can 95% guarantee if you’re looking for a Japanese perishable, it is carried at Anzen or not stocked in the Portland area at all. In addition to their massive grocery selection, Anzen has a fresh-fish counter and limited produce section. If you’re not a fan of Japanese food, go anyway! This is as authentic as it gets in Oregon and they also have home goods, gifts, and books. Seriously. It makes Uwajimaya look like the Japanese version of Walmart.
